Request for Community Chat Link - Slack / Discord / Telegram

Hi everyone ,

I’m interested in contributing to the Talawa projects as part of my learning and GSoC preparation. I’ve been exploring the repositories like talawa-admin and talawa-api, and I’d love to connect with other contributors and mentors.

Could someone please share the link or details for any active community chat platform (Slack, Discord, or Telegram) that contributors currently use to communicate?

We used to have slack community, but decided to use this forum instead. There was no SEO with slack and the history was only 90 days old, so it was difficult to research old discussions.

Hi @palisadoes , I noticed that discussions are now happening in the Community Forum instead of Slack. However, the Talawa Docs still contain references such as “Join our Slack community” and the Slack button in several places.

This could cause confusion for new contributors or developers who want to join the community and start contributing.

I’d like to create an issue to update these references and replace them with the Community Forum link.

I’m also new to the project, so I’d appreciate some guidance on the best way to proceed.
Thank you! doc.webp

@Nikhil
You can create issues directly; there’s no need to ask. Our mentors will check and determine if the issue is valid.

You can click on the username, you will see a direct message button, you can use that to send them a DM.
