GSoC 2026 - Talawa

Hello everyone 👋

I’m interested in contributing to Talawa with the goal of applying for GSoC 2026.

I’m a B.Tech CSE student with experience in web development (React, TypeScript, Tailwind), backend APIs, Docker, and cloud-based deployments. I enjoy working on refactoring, improving developer experience, and building intuitive UI/UX for real users.

After going through the documentation and issues, I’m particularly interested in:
  • Talawa Admin refactoring and reusable component cleanup
  • API ↔ Admin communication gaps (MVP issues)
  • Docker improvements, including rootless setups
  • Exploring UI/UX improvements for workflows like tags, campaigns, and families

I understand Talawa’s goal of being a generic, community-focused platform with strong documentation, accessibility, and multilingual support, and I’d love to contribute toward making the apps easier to use for non-technical users.

I plan to start by picking up existing issues and proposing new ones where appropriate, while strictly following the reusable components and contribution guidelines.

Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing meaningfully.
Thank you!

Hello everyone 👋

I'm Garima Mittal, a MERN Stack Developer with a strong interest in open-source contributions and community-based projects like Talawa.

I have gone through the organization’s GSoC 2026 expectations and prerequisites, including areas like web app refactoring, improving reusable components, resolving API–Admin communication gaps, Docker enhancements, and restoring mobile app features.

I have understood the direction and goals of the organization, and I have started working on these tasks to contribute meaningfully before the GSoC 2026 announcements.

I’m excited to collaborate with the community, learn from the mentors, and help improve Talawa for organizations worldwide.

Looking forward to contributing and connecting with everyone here! !!

Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m Venkata Kaveri Kali Boyina, a 3rd-year B.Tech student and Full-Stack developer.

I’ve been working extensively with React and Node.js, and I recently built a Full-Stack Offline Multimodal RAG Assistant (https://github.com/kaveri-2005/offiline-rag-assistant.git). This project focused on private document querying and interactive UI components, which I believe aligns well with the Talawa-Admin or Talawa-Web modernization goals.

I am very interested in contributing to the Palisadoes Foundation for GSoC 2026, specifically on projects involving React refactoring or UI/UX enhancements. I’ve already forked the repositories and am currently setting up the local environment.

I’m eager to pick up a 'good first issue' to start contributing to the community. Looking forward to working with the mentors!

Hi, I’m Krishna, a final-year student and an active open-source contributor who genuinely enjoys understanding how real systems work under the hood. Over the past few years, I’ve worked on full-stack projects involving real-time features, authentication systems, APIs, and scalable database design. Contributing to open source has taught me how to read large codebases, write clean and maintainable code, and communicate effectively with maintainers.
